![]() Next, they built a mysterious piece of clockwork for the Celestials upon which they could gather and sing in harmony with each other. The Celestials thus became the first singing Monsters. ![]() Each Celestial was taught to perform music in a style unique to them. The first task the Colossals faced was to teach the twelve Celestials to sing. A blank -and most importantly, silent- canvas for them to work with, to shape to their liking. There was also something else that they saw, too. The Colossals were amazed by the world that lay before them, specifically the Celestial’s Elemental affiliations. They do have names, yes, but they are not pronounceable to us mortal humans. These Colossals– nameless, disembodied spirits of creation– were inspired to harness the power of creation to make the Monster World a richer place although, nameless wouldn’t be the correct term. After some time, the unmistakably deep, sonorous voices of the Colossals were heard. Over time, the prehistoric cacophonic clangor echoing throughout the Monster World subsided, and silence took over once more. Connected to the specific areas of their origin, and inspired by the constellatious shapes about them, each was imbued with their own Elemental power. In this metaphysical state, they resembled compact, Egg-like orbs. Each of these Celestials spread out among the new world, and took residence up among the stars, with each living within the metaphysical space of their own constellations. Also coming from this event were the magical, time-warping Diamonds which appear everywhere around the Monster World. Syncopite, Celestial of Crystal, is said to have been formed from when the very silence of the Primordial Cosmic Hush grew so silent, that it was compressed by its own weight and collapsed on itself, forming a dense, luminous mass. These waves eventually crashed upon the Monster World, giving rise to The Living Ocean. ![]() Hornacle, Celestial of Water, is said to have been formed directly from that cacophony of sound, from a wave of which swelled and crashed upon the void. the epicenter of the Big Bang-like event. Furnoss, Celestial of Fire and first Celestial, is said to have been forged in the Living Core of the Monster World, a.k.a. These Celestials are the first inhabitants of the Monster World. Then a Big Bang-like event disrupts the hush, sending out a cacophony of sounds that fill the void cacophonously for billions of years to go! As a result of this event, twelve beings known as the Celestials are born guardians of the Elements.
